Web Accessibility Training

Introduction to Web Site Accessibility

This six-hour course, available through Rice School of Continuing Studies, is for those who design, develop, manage, or evaluate web sites. Participants will learn about the laws concerning web accessibility, the benefits of accessible web design, and how to make web sites accessible. Portions of the training involve hands-on exercises. A basic understanding of HTML is recommended. This workshop covers:

• Review of Assistive Technology Devices
• Experiencing Accessibility Barriers
• Federal and State Law
• Standards and Guidelines
• Evaluating Accessibility
• HTML Accessibility Basics
